The Lowanna College Sports Academy recognises the importance of providing students with a fulfilling and challenging education that allows young student athletes to develop their sporting talent while building confidence, character, and leadership skills.
Gippsland United are excited to support young and aspiring Gippsland athletes strive for their goals. This partnership forms part of the clubs overall strategic plan in engaging with community. Amongst other things, the club will support the academy with coaching and the logistical support of the upcoming Lowanna 3×3 school competition.
CALLING ALL GIPPSLAND PRIMARY SCHOOLS. Lowanna College in conjunction with Gippsland United present a 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Now an Olympic sport, 3 on 3 is a wonderful way to enjoy the game of basketball, so we are inviting primary schools for a chance to compete in our inaugural competition on Friday June 17th, 2022. Commencing 19-20 March, the Big V 2022 season will bring together an elite group of 142 teams across our 12 divisions this year.
Gippsland United BIG V Men and Women’s teams kick off Season 2022 at home on Saturday 19th March.
Gippsland United Women take on Collingwood at 6 pm with the Men tipping off against Maccabi at 8 pm.

The Country Basketball League’s MVPs and award winners were announced over the Grand Final weekend to cap off the 2021/2022 season!
Our best and brightest across the eight conferences received the coveted award for their outstanding play throughout the season. These eight players showed excellent skill on the court and a few managed to lead their team all the way to the big dance.
Congratulations to all our MVP award winners for such a terrific season. The Country Basketball League was proud to play host to all teams across the weekend and the season. We look forward to seeing our associations return next season for another bumper year across Country Victoria!
