BIG V MEN

Scott McKenzie

Scott’s involvement with Basketball spans almost 40 years in the Gippsland region, having
represented several local towns both as a player and coach.

For the past 10-12 years Scott’s
focus was with Basketball Victoria Country, coaching within the various junior programs
including Skills Days, Academy Programs, Jamboree, AJCBC, Gold Nugget and culminating in an Assistant Coaching role at 2 National Championships.

More recently, since 2018, Scott has been a part of the Casey Cavaliers Big V Championship Men’s program as an Assistant Coach. His role with Casey was varied and included conducting and preparing training sessions, individual player development sessions, opposition scouting, game day coaching and player recruiting.

BIG V YOUTH LEAGUE MEN

Jayden McMillin

2024 will see Jayden make the leap from GU Big V player to inaugural GU Means Youth League Head Coach.

Jayden played all his junior basketball at Casey, before heading to the US to play college basketball for 3 years, where he spent two years at ‘Dakota College at Bottineau’ and one at Colorado Mesa University.

Once home, he played on the championship-winning team at Western Port in 2015. After the 2015 Championship his coaching career began, coaching U18s, U21s, and then state championship men at Casey.

2022 saw Jayden return to the court for Warragul’s CBL side before he joined GU in 2023.
